Pawsitively Pets  is owned and  operated by me, Denise Murray, a life long resident of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

I have experience personally caring for a wide variety of animals;  with a special interest in dogs, cats, birds, small caged animals, rabbits and reptiles.    February 5th, 2008 I said goodbye to Gypsy, our 14 year old Border Collie / Black Lab mix.  She is sadly missed.   Now my affections are focused on a  Blue, my adopted Weimaraner, and a very sweet, but spoiled rabbit named "Shasti".  I also am a member of several Professional Pet Sitting Organizations which are listed on the main page.  These forums and memberships provide valuable information for professional pet sitters to share tools and experiences as well as training and support.  I am a huge supporter as well of Best Friends Animal Network.  They are responsible for rescuing some of the Michael Vick pit bulls - named fondly at the sanctuary in Kenab, Utah as the "Vicktory Dogs".  I was fortunate to actually visit the sanctuary in late October of this year and take a tour.  It's an amazing place and they do wonderful things there for all animals.  Please visit their site - you can find their website  address on my Links page.  If you have ever wanted to support a good cause, this is it!

In the past years my home has been haven to several fostered/rescued animals, including finches, dogs and cats.  I joined Adopt A Friend For Life as a foster in February, 2009 and have had  two successful foster adoptions to my credit.
